Homestay, Language study trip in Riga - host family, shared flat or hotel-flat, apartment or hotel: where to stay in Riga

Host families in Riga

To get the most out of your time in Riga, staying with a Russian-speaking host family is the right choice! You will be immersed in Russian culture and will learn Russian at a faster pace during your stay in Riga. However, it can be challenging at times. Don’t expect your hosts to be always able – or willing – to speak foreign languages 😉

Every host family is different. When choosing hosts, we place a lot of emphasis on personality and hospitality. In the bilingual city of Riga, we also make sure that all our host families are native Russian speakers. When you make your booking, you are welcome to tell us about your wishes for your stay. We will take these into account as much as possible.

“In my host family we had good conversations in Russian language. Anna and Andrej were very welcoming and helpful, took me to school the first day, explained all important things and even spent a Saturday with me to show me Zarskoje Selo. Anna’s Russian food was delicious! I really felt at home with them. Our school city tour on first day with Tonya was interesting and very good for a first impression.”
