Здравствуйте from Bianca, the new intern from Italy!

Здравствуйте from Bianca, the new intern from Italy!
13 November 2018

И так, всем привет! My name is Bianca and I’m the new intern at Liden & Denz, Saint Petersburg. Originally from Italy, my studies gave me the chance to travel and live in different parts of the world , and now led me to Russia.

In Italy I’ve recently graduated in foreign languages and I currently speak four of them fluently, namely Italian, English, French and Spanish. Unfortunately Russian is not among them, which is exactly why I’ve decided to come to Saint Petersburg and master it once and for all. When, some years ago, I’d decided to learn Russian I didn’t know what I was putting myself into. Today, I couldn’t be happier with such a choice. The struggle was real (and still is indeed), but yet is nothing compared to the feeling you get when you’re actually able to make a full complex sentence. Even though Russian is well known to be a hard language to master, succeeding in doing so leads you to a variety of opportunities, especially for those who’d like to work in an international environment.

This is my second time in Saint Petersburg: last year I spent two months in this wonderful city, working as an internist and I fell in love with Матушка Россия. That was also the first time I actually found myself in an environment where I was forced to use Russian, and although it’s been quite hard, especially the first weeks, I feel that it really helped me, not only to improve my level, but also and mostly to give it a go. Before, I used to be scared of making mistakes, I’d rather use English instead. Thanks to Russia I’ve learned to let myself go and stop worrying about what people may think, and that’s when I actually started to improve my Russian. I’m so glad to be back and grateful to Liden & Denz for giving me the opportunity to study while actually enriching my CV at the same time.

Apart from foreign languages, I’m also very passionate about cinema, literature and travels, I love to explore new places and get to meet people from all over the world. When in a new place, I really like to experience, not only the touristy spots, but also the off the beaten track ones.

So, having said that, if you’re interested in tips about useful ways to improve your Russian, or if you need advice on where to go to in Saint Petersburg, follow my journey in beautiful Питер, I’ll be very glad to help you!
