The Fat Pumpkin – In Latvian Resnais Kirbis – is a vegetarian restaurant located in the old town of Riga. They serve innovative veggi options and the service is extremely friendly and helpful.

The Fat Pumpkin is one of the few dedicated vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Riga. They serve some of the most creative food you will find in the city. The obscure menu has to be explained by the smiley staff before ordering. The classic is one of the pumpkin burgers which comes with potato wedges and vegan mayo. You get to choose between different burgers with strange names like the ALOHA BURGER, the FISHLESS BURGER, the NAKED BURGER and so on. The food is very delicious and healthy. The Fat Pumpkin also offers tasty smoothies and different sweet treats such as vegan cakes or a crême brulée and a vegan style tiramisu.

The restaurant is located right behind the House of the Blackheads, not far from St Peters church. For any visitor looking for vegetarian or vegan food in Riga, this is definitely the place to go to. The restaurant has an incredible rating of 4.9 out of 5 on Facebook and a very good rating on TripAdvisor too. The small restaurant with its cosy interior is not the cheapest one but the food is very tasty and the experience is therefore definitely worth the money. I can highly recommend to stop buy at the Fat Pumpkin and enjoy their creative menu. The food here will even be enjoyed by carnivores.

The Fat Pumpkin does not have an official website but they keep their costumers up to date on Facebook. There you can check out all the new menus and offerings:
