Muzeon Park, ideal for a Soviet-nostalgic stroll or free Yoga classes.

Do you feel like indulging in some Soviet Nostalgia? The Muzeon Park in Moscow is the place for you.

Also known as the Park of the Fallen Heroes, Muzeon is the dumping ground for the Soviet statues that were ripped from their pedestals in the 90s after the fall of Communism.

The park houses more than 700 sculptures, including some highlights such a huge steel sculpture of the Soviet World, many giant Lenins, a nose-less Stalin and various monuments dedicated to the Red Army.

The admission to the park is free, but guided tours can be booked in advance for about 250 roubles (+7 499 238 33 96).

Also note that for the whole month of August, the park will offer free yoga classes in the morning (8-9 am) as well as in the evening (19-20.30), on Saturdays and Sundays (10-11.30).

The yoga classes will take place at the wooden terrace at the Yalta embankment and in order to attend them you don’t need anything, since mats, blankets, blocks and straps are provided for free.

If you would like to have a preview of the park, check the official website!

    … a nose-less Stalin monument?
what if it would be a moustache-less.
