Light in Motion
What is labeled at an art exhibition in Moscow’s BEREG district is, in reality a playground for children and adults alike. French artists Mondo Adrien and Claire Barden bring light to life with their interactive creations. The premise of their work is to blur the boundaries between the physical and digital world. Visitors are allowed to touch, talk to and use their breath on all of the displayed pieces. It is easy to spend hours exploring the space! Sound is also used by the artists in coordination with the lighting in the entire room, creating an all-encompassing experience. The gallery was full of people enjoying themselves, taking selfies, laughing and creating together.
The exhibit is located in Bolshoi Savvinski Per, 12 ctp 6, Sportivnaya metro, and will be open until December 18. Although “XYZT” is wonderful, it is a little on the expensive side. Be sure to bring your student ID for a discounted ticket! Additionally, I recommend attending the event on a week day or in the afternoon to avoid a crowd. Some of the dedicated instagrammers in the room interfere with your chance to enjoy the art.
