Привет St. Petersburg
Привет everyone 🙂 My name is Daniela, I’m 21 years old and I’m excited to join Liden & Denz as a Social Media Content Assistant and student the next three months. I was born in Vienna/Austria and I study “International Business Relations”, specializing in Marketing.
In the course of our studies, we have the opportunity to do an internship abroad in the 5th semester and I’ve chosen Russia. But WHY?? I’m learning Russian now for about 7 years, but intensive only since about two years when I started at my university. In Austria almost everybody is learning Spanish, Italian or French at school but I wanted to learn something else. At the beginning it was very hard, especially the grammar and the pronunciation but after some time I was confident, that I’ve chosen the right language for me. During my studies I learned a lot about the the people and culture of this beautiful country itself.
Furthermore It’s exactly two months ago that I came back from a language course in Moscow that lasted for three weeks. It has been my very first time in Russia and I can really say that I was so IMPRESSED. All prejudices haven’t been materialized. Everyone was so helpful, the weather was great, we had about 25-30 °C in July and usually the people drink more beer than vodka.
After this I’m really looking forward to my upcoming three months here in St. Petersburg, that certainly will be a great time I will never forget. I hope to gather interesting working experience, I hope to deepen my Russian skills and to find new friends from all over the world.
In my blogs, I will especially write about my experiences here in Russia, some do’s and dont’s and I will give some tips on studying Russian. I hope you will enjoy it!
