Liden & Denz makes a cameo in spy fiction
What would you think if I told you that Liden & Denz Moscow Centre was serving as a cover for Russian spies? That’s crazy right? Well, in the real world it is. But in the fictional spy thriller Red Sparrow by former CIA agent Jason Matthews it’s not!
The novel follows the career of Dominika Egorovna, a state intelligence officer drafted against her will by Russian authorities to become a “Sparrow,” a trained seductress assigned to take down an American CIA agent Nathaniel Nash, who is trying to penetrate Russian intelligence.
In the course of the story under the alias “Nadia,” Dominika seduces a French diplomat, Simon Delon, whom she convinces that she works as a language teacher at Liden & Denz Moscow centre on Gruzinsky Street (Page 102).
We don’t want to spoil the ending, but if you want to get your hands on a copy of the novel, it is widely available online and has received mostly positive reviews.
