Liden & Denz celebrates 25 years in style
24 May 2017
Last week, Liden & Denz celebrated its 25th anniversary with a lavish gala at the Olympia concert hall in St. Petersburg, the city where the Russian language provider opened its first campus in 1992.
The event coincided with IALC’s first roadshow to Russia since 2012 and a fam trip taking 15 agents to Moscow, St.Petersburg and Riga!

Swiss Consul General Michel Faillettaz noted in his opening remarks: “Liden & Denz has transformed strangers into friends of Russia over the last 25 years and I am convinced and it is my wish that it will continue to do so for many years to come.”

Shortly after, the 120 invited guests enjoyed a glamorous evening with Russian ballet, tenors and and an amazing string quartet entertaining the audience with music from Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Borodin.

“The gala dinner was one of the most magnificent experiences of my professional life”. Robin Adams, President / Managing Director, Global Village English Centres Canada

The gala dinner in St Petersburg will go down in the annals of IALC as one of the best occasions, not only related to IALC but throughout the industry. (…) Just totally special, totally St Petersburg, totally L & D – a very big thank you!” Bob Burger, Marketing Director, Malaca Instituto, Spain

“A huuuuge SPASIBO to Walter, Julia and all the team at Liden & Denz. This will go down in history as one of the best parties our industry has ever seen. You packed so many great things into just one evening and made us all fall in love with Russia.” Mr Kieran Hayde, Sales, Marketing and Groups Manager, Wimbledon School of English, UK

One of the highlights of the evening was the official launch of Liden & Denz’ newest campus in Irkutsk in Eastern Siberia. Director Félix Baumann invited a cheering crowd – made up of colleagues from the industry, well known agents, Liden & Denz staff and local dignitaries – to visit Irkutsk and the Baikal region. Liden & Denz Irkutsk will start operating this June.

Walter Denz, co-founder of Liden & Denz, reminded the audience that standing still after 25 years was not an option. He paid tribute to Liden & Denz’ outstanding teachers and thanked the team of CEO Julia Voevodina for delivering extraordinary results, last but not least in organising the 25th anniversary celebrations.
