Dinner above Nevsky Prospekt

Dinner above Nevsky Prospekt

As luck would have it, me and my roommate discovered a gorgeous restaurant at the Stockmann mall yesterday, while looking for a fitness centre. It is called “Moskva” and is located at the top floor of the pretty shopping centre. Apart from the fact that we were already very hungry, the outside impression of the restaurant was very inviting, so we did not hesitate going in.

While entering, three pretty girls greeted friendly and one of them led us to our table. As we went through the restaurant, we were simply amazed! The location is really astonishing. “Moskva” offers Italian, International cuisine and also delicious Sushi. The special thing about the restaurant is the fact, that every cuisine has its own area and you can watch them while cooking – that is pretty cool!

The furniture of the restaurant is very homelike, the whole atmosphere is very cosy. The variety of the menu is comprehensive, at first we really could not decide what to order. In the end I chose grilled chicken with baked potato and vegetables. It was really, really delicious and I could not resist ordering a dessert. To be honest, the dessert was my personal highlight of the evening. I ordered a chocolate cake with liquid chocolate core, served with a ball of vanilla ice cream. It was indescribable delicious.

Another highlight of the restaurant is the roof terrace. It offers an amazing view of the Nevsky Prospekt and in the evening, you can watch the sunset. Concerning costs, the restaurant is rather highly-priced orientated. But in my opinion, due to the very comprehensive assortment of dishes and the awesome location – it is definitely worth it! I would really recommend this restaurant to others and I am pretty sure I will visit it again.
