Hello from Sara, a new Italian intern!
Здравствуйте! My name Sara, I am from Italy and I am a new intern at Liden & Denz school in Saint Petersburg.I am 23 and I just graduated from the Faculty of Interpreting and Communication at IULM University of Milan, where I had the pleasure of studying English and Russian. Honestly, I do not know exactly what was the reason that prompted me to study Russian, I just wanted to challenge myself to learn everything about this language and its culture, and I did not regret my choice at all.
Since the first year of university, I realised that to really improve your language skills you need to spend some time abroad, trying to completely immerse yourself in a new culture. Hence, I decided to come back to Saint Petersburg to study again at Liden & Denz.
This is the second time I come here, I spent three weeks at this school two years ago, and I completely fell in love with it. I enjoyed my stay from the beginning, because the teachers are friendly and the lessons are always motivating, interesting and clearly structured. This place is like a home to me and learning Russian has never been so pleasant. I hope to learn as much as possible during my stay, even though I have no doubt about it, since it is one of the best school to study Russian and, moreover, it is located in a very charming city: Saint Petersburg. What I like the most of “Питер” is its richness in museums, churches, monuments and works of art in general: it is always a pleasure to get lost in the small streets of the city, but even strolling on the Nevsky Prospekt is not bad!
To conclude, the advice I want to give to those who are studying Russian is: never give up. I should say that this is the “motto” I live by. The moments of discouragement during the learning of this language will come, but the important thing is to always give your best! For patient and hard-working students, sacrifices will be rewarded. Удачи!
