Ice – Cream Festival 2014
With the heat of these days, the only thing that we want to eat is ice-cream. Well that it comes at the right moment, as at Sokolniki park this weekend (May 31at 11:00 and June 1, finished at 18:00) held the traditionnal annual Ice Cream Festival! What a delight for your taste bud and to cool a little.
Organized with the Union of Ice-Cream it is scheduled this weekend for a specific reason, actually in honor of June 1 – International Children’s Day, they prepared a large charity program, which allocated for 5000 scoops of ice cream, and other gifts, which according to tradition, will be awarded to children’s homes. With the support of companies participating in the festival, program will be implemented to take care of children from orphanages, children’s homes and hospitals. Children receive gifts, and of course, lots of yummy ice cream!
This day , as the name suggests, is dedicated to children around the world (not the same day, for all the countries !) who have succumbed to violence in forms of abus, exploitation and discrimination.
The festival will be full of surprises that just wait for you to be discovered ! In additionn to all the sweet and yummy ice-cream, some events and activities are organized to delight and entertain visitors ! For those who feel guilty eating ice cream or just because you like moving, several sporting activities are held : at least you can keep your healthy lifestyle and eat ice cream at the same time (even if eating one ice cream never killed someone).
Also you will find a music concert with performances by stellar teams, combined with the traditional annual audience favorite contests with stellar group performances.
