Insider tip: Clean Plates Society – hidden restaurant

Insider tip: Clean Plates Society – hidden restaurant
22 September 2016

Are you exhausted and hungry due to a long sightseeing day in St Petersburg? Therefore, I have found a very nice place to get some rest and very good food.

Last Saturday, my friends and I spend the whole afternoon for sightseeing in St Petersburg. Our last stop was the wonderful Saint Isaac’s Cathedral. We were already very hungry so we decided to look for a nice restaurant. It was not very easy for us to get a free table in a restaurant near the Isaac’s Cathedral, due to the fact that it was weekend. But as luck would have it, after some time going around, we found a cute little restaurant in a side street. To be honest, at the first moment the outside appearance was a bit inconspicuous. But still, we went in and gave it a try.

Our first impression was very positive. The restaurant looks like a comfortable and stylish living room, the waitresses immediately came to us and offered a table. I also very liked the furnishing and decoration. On one wall, there is a very special decoration fixed, which says “You’ve got to fight for your right to party”. This really made me smile.

Clean Plates Society offers Georgian dishes, salads, burgers and also meatless dishes. The selection is not that comprehensive, but I am sure everyone would find something for themselves. I think this is even the special thing about this restaurant. There is a very familiar, relaxing atmosphere and everything is made with love. They also offer house specials like homemade lemonade. I ordered a burger and it was very tasty and high quality. My friends both ate salads and they were also very satisfied – a successful day!

I can really recommend this restaurant and I think it is a really good insider tip. Clean Plates Society is situated in the Gorokhovaya Street 13, it is easy to reach with the Metro.
