Salvador Dali and Surrealism of Catalonia

09 December 2013

St. Petersburg is known as a cultural capital of Russia. But in many ways, it’s also a capital of all western culture. Thanks to the world famous Hermitage (Эрмитаж) museum, artwork from around the world is exhibited here in St. Petersburg. Starting this month, you will be able to see artwork from one of the most famous artists of the 20th century, Salvador Dali.

The exhibition is called (Salvador Dali and Surrealism of Catalonia) and will include paintings from him as well as other painters from Catalonia. The works come from the Dali Museum in Figueres, the Joan Miró Foundation and the National Museum of Catalan Art.

The exhibition opens this month and will stay open until February 16, 2014.

This is an exciting chance to see some of those trippy surrealist works from some of the greatest masters!
