Summer terraces in Moscow: Best places outside
05 August 2014

It is the last month of summer, so enjoy the last rays of sunshine! The best thing you can do, is to eat or drink outside and enjoy this fantastic weather. Maybe you have already heard that the weather will change in two weeks, so let’s enjoy it as long as possible!

From May to September Moscow offers you a wide range of beautiful places where you can stay. You can enjoy the weather in cafes at the street, on open roofs and balconies or, if you like it quiet, in backyards. Here are some options for you:
1)      Sky Lounge

Here you will have the best view over Moscow in the 22nd floor of the building of the Academy of Science. You can look over Moscow through the windows in the restaurant, but if you want to enjoy the sun, you should take a seat at one of the several cozy terraces. This lounge is quite expensive: the prices for cocktails vary between 550 to 890 rubles. But the amazing view is really worth it! So it would be a good idea to reserve a table.

2)      Ресторан Дача на покровке

If you like a quite atmosphere, this restaurant is the right choice for you. It is off the beaten track but you will love it there! It is located on Pokrovsky boulevard, but you will find the entrance on Podkolokolny perulok, near the metro station Chistye Prudy. On the summer terrace you can either sit in comfy beanbag chairs or normal chairs. The atmosphere is very cosy and there is really much nature around you. So escape the urban jungle and go to Dacha na pokrowke!

3)      Club Gogol

Club Gogol is one of the oldest clubs in Moscow. It is hidden in Stoleshnikow Pereulok right in the middle of the city centre. You can sit there on a nice terrace with a sky made up of ballons and umbrellas! Since the beginning of august this club has also a summer discotheque, which is unique for Moscow. There you can dance and enjoy the mild summer nights in Moscow’s city centre.
