Traditional Autumn Festival of Fountains
This weekend, one of the most unique festivals is held in St. Petersburg. The traditional autumn festival of fountains at Peterhof Palace starts on Friday, Sept. 09th, 2016 and lasts until Sunday, Sept. 11th, 2016. Save the date! – It will definitely be worth visiting it.
This spectacular, colorful multimedia show is a highly awaited, traditional annual event to celebrate the closing of the fountain season. Every year, thousands of tourists and citizens arrive to this wonderful place to see the Big Cascade transforming into a huge open-air movie theatre. This year, the focus of the multimedia performance art and pyrotechnic show will be “The Soviet Hollywood”. Guests can look forward to an exclusive event, where they are able to see the best moments of art of the famous Soviet films. Furthermore, the decoration of the Big Cascade will represent the style of Soviet artist vanguards. However, the main attraction is the story that is told through the performance. It will be especially about the lives and art of the movie celebrities of the 1930’s. The spectacle traditionally will be accompanied by an edgy choreography of amazing dancers and singers, as well as lights and music.
The programme starts at 9 p.m. every night. Tickets for the “Traditional Autumn Festival of Fountains” for the upcoming weekend are available at the website of the Peterhof Palace to a good price. The ticket gives you access to the Lower Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and can be issued only in one order.
And how to get there? The palace is located at Razvodnaya Street 2. You can easly get there for example by public transport with the red subway line. Hop off at “Avtovo” station and take the Bus No. 200 to Peterhof.
