5 Fun Places To Visit in St. Petersburg
If you are anything like me, you might have days when you want to meet with your friends, but you’re in the mood for something different. But unless you ask a local where you can go, you might never hear about certain places. Well, I finally asked, and here is what I have to share with you today.
I hope this post will better inform you on more alternative activities you can engage in when you’re looking to have some fun with your friends in St. Petersburg.
Now for the fun part – literally.
Maza Park – A great entertainment complex whether you are looking for friendly competition, some adrenaline or to relax with your friends. In the park you will have bumper cars (автодром), Q-Zar (laser tag), billiards (бильярд), laser room, darts (дартс), bull rodeo (бык-родео), table games (настольные игры), table tennis (настольный теннис), Segways (сигвеи), rollerblade area (pоллердром), bowling area (боулинг), target shooting area (тир), and a gaming area. If you are not in the mood for games, there is also a 5D cinema room, massage chairs, a café, four clubs and five bars. The café is called Пикник-Кафе and it serves Russian food, sushi, burgers, rolls and various snacks. The clubs are called BottleBAR – for those who like the stage -, Cloob – if you fancy electronic music, Funk – for “party enthusiasts” and L-Lips – which offers a more quiet atmosphere and a wide selection of desserts, cocktails and coffees.
Taking into account all the activities included in this huge facility, I find the tickets to be quite affordable. However, ticket prices fluctuate throughout the day and depending on the day of the week. Just to give you an example: if you go to this park any day between Monday and Thursday, prices will range between RUB 250.00 (from 10:00 – 11:00) and RUB 450.00 (after 20:00); on Fridays prices go up to RUB 600.00 (after 21:00); on weekends, prices vary between RUB 250.00 (from 10:00 – 11:00) and RUB 700.00 (after 17:00). Food and drinks are not included in the ticket.
Maza Park is open from 10:00 to 06:00, and you can stay for as long as you want.

Extreme Club Crazy Zebra – There you have trampolines, a foam pit, acrobatic classes and other related activities. It’s open everyday from 11:00 to 23:00, and you can spend 30 minutes in the trampolines and acrobatics zone for RUB 250.00, 2 hours for RUB 300.00 on weekdays, and 2 hours for RUB 400.00 on weekends.

Bump Club – This club focuses on trampolines, but they also offer acrobatic classes, among others. You can go there for 2 hours for only RUB 200.00 on weekdays until 16:00, but after 16:00 and on weekends prices go up to RUB 300.00.
The club is open from 12:00 to 23:30 on weekdays, and 12:00 to 22:00 on weekends.

Кирочный двор – This is my go-to billiards place, as I live not to far from it. I very much enjoy the quiet atmosphere and affordable prices. Open from 10:00 until the last visitor stops playing (which is usually somewhat between 00h00 – 02h00). It has eight pool tables and five Russian billiards tables. Until 18:00 you will be charged RUB 90.00 per hour to use a pool table, and RUB 150.00 to use a Russian billiards table. After 18:00, renting a pool table will cost you RUB 160.00 per hour, and a Russian billiards table RUB 220.00 per hour. It’s not far from the city centre, very close to the metro station, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. It has a modest selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, teas, coffee and some snacks, but don’t count on having dinner there. If you need advice on that, just let me know in the comments below.
Address: Кирочная yлица, 36, phone number: +7 (812) 272-18-32.
Metro station: Чернишевская
Cinema – If you’d rather stay closer to the city centre but still have a nice time, I recommend you to go to the Cinema Lounge “Кино & Театр” located inside hotel Angleterre, right next to Исаакиевский Собор (St. Isaac’s Cathedral). The room is not as big as a cinema room, but I much prefer this one, as it has a homey feeling to it. The movies are played in English with Russian subtitles, so why not learn a few new words to impress your teacher with the next day!

I hope you will give some of these places a try, and feel free to share your opinion with us!
