Greetings from Moscow!
Привет из Москвы! Hello everyone, my name is Marleen and I am currently in my last year of my Bachelor’s degree International Business Relations in Austria. I will spend the next ten weeks in Moscow interning at Liden & Denz as a blogger and editorial assistant and I will be sharing my experiences from this beautiful city as well as the school with you.
I have always been interested in new cultures and learning languages. After I finished high school I was therefore happy to attend an university that offered a course in which business studies and a new foreign language were combined. Out of the choices I had I chose Russian. But why?
There are many reasons why one should try to learn Russian. In my opinion the language has a unique and beautiful sound to it. Additionally, I wanted to challenge myself by learning a completely new alphabet. Not to forget the Russian culture, architecture as well as the tasty food ?. Russia is also the biggest country in the world and learning the language gives you the possibility to communicate with so many people.
This is currently my second time in Moscow as I visited for the first time in July this year. During my last trip, which was organised by my university, I already got a glimpse of the Russian culture, visited a lot of interesting places and met many great people. Therefore I couldn’t wait to return again for such a long period.
I decided to come to Liden & Denz to improve my knowledge and to get over my fear of speaking Russian (and what could be better than living in the country whose language you are learning?) During my stay I also want to expand my vocabulary, to get over my struggle with the grammar and not to forget explore the city as well as I can and meet new people. I’m very glad that during my time here in Moscow I also have the opportunity to write about my experiences and impressions and to share them with you on this blog.
Пока-пока, до встречи!
