Hello from Giulia, the new intern from Italy!
Всем привет! I am Giulia, from Italy and I will be interning at Liden & Denz centre in St. Petersburg for the next two months.
I study Languages for International Cooperation at the University of Padua and I have just finished my first year of Master’s. When I decided to study Russian I did not know how beautiful, long, hard and satisfactory this journey would be. Since then I have learnt a lot, not only grammar and vocabulary, but also a completely new studying attitude: not to be afraid of making mistakes, especially while speaking, not to give up If I don’t succeed at the first attempt, be passionate and try, try , and try again. There is still a long way to go and it is time to move to Russia and fully experience Russian language and culture.
During my Bachelor’s I had the chance to spend a term in Finland, my first home abroad and still one of the closest to my heart. There, I realised that traveling makes me feel alive and that I would do my best to live new experiences and learn from them as much as possible.
While in FInland, I had my first insight into Russian culture, when I travelled to Saint Petersburg for a few days. I fell in love with this amazing city and its magic atmosphere and I decided that a short trip was not enough and I would come back. After some time and a semester in Spain, here I am, extremely happy to have the opportunity to improve my languge skills and be immersed in Russian culture 24 hours a day.
A bit more about me: I am passionate about music, poetry and traveling. In my free time I love watching movies, taking part in film discussing groups and discovering new cities by walking through the streets listening to one of my playlists (the one that better matches the scenery).
Вот и всё (for now), hope you will enjoy sharing with me this new adventure in Saint Petersburg!
