LavkaLavka Moscow

LavkaLavka Moscow
22 June 2015

The LavkaLavka Moscow (LittleshopLittleshop) is an organic food cooperative founded in Moscow a few years ago and soon became the protagonist in the farm-to-table movement in Russia. This restaurant works together with local farmers and sells their products both in their restaurant and stores. They work with seasonal products, especially the ones that grow more abundantly in Russia whose consumption has decreased over the years, due to the appearance of many more exotic products in the market.

The New Russian Cuisine style as they call it is, to me, a fusion of Russian traditional and European cuisines. You will find many typical Russian ingredients prepared in a very creative way, playing with textures and combining these with unforeseen flavors that will make you appreciate these ingredients in new way. So you have a better idea of what I am talking about, check out their menu: Menu.

You can also order fresh local products delivered to the store by local farmers via email: [email protected] or phone: +7 (967) 027 65 74.

They have a nice shop located in Trekhprudny per., 5 and another in Petrovka ul. 21, in the same building as the restaurant LavkaLavka.

Make sure you book a table at least a week in advance, as this is quite a popular place among locals and tourists. It is definitely a place worth visiting, especially if you’re not going to be in Moscow for long. You will not regret it! And the prices are not too out there.
