Mendeleev bar (Менделеев Бар)

For those who enjoy cocktails, love the nightlife and are staying in Moscow during the weekend, then you should try to get into Mendeleev’s bar, which is secretly located behind a noodle shop named ‘Lucky noodles’.

This bar is dedicated to the mixology, and for those who do not have any idea of what I’m talking about, is the art of creating cocktails. Let’s say it this way; they have their own signature on its craft cocktails, because they use handmade alcohol based on natural essences, tinctures, syrups and liquors.

Besides the bar, they also offer Asian and Russian food to enjoy with their cocktails and to make your stay comfortable.

Unfortunately, they do not have a menu in English, so it would be a very good chance to practice your Russian; however, after reading it, I can give you a pair of cocktails to try:

  1. – Shutter Island, contains a blend of dark and light rum, orange liqueur, mango pure, pineapple juice and lime juice.
  2. – Lapland snow, contains Finlandia Vodka, grapefruit juice, lime juice and grenadine.

The cost of each cocktail is 600 rubles, on weekends they have techno and house and weekdays they have some concerts. The place is closed only on Mondays and it is opened from 6 pm to 1 am, except Friday and Saturday when closes until 6 am.

You can reach the place by one of this 3 tube stations, Chehovskaya, Verskaya and Kuznetzkiy Most (Чеховская, Верская и Кузнецкий мост) in the street Petrovka (Петровка) 20\1.
