Upcoming parties in Saint Petersburg
14 July 2016

Hello party people! Just wanted to give a heads up concerning two big techno festivals coming up this month. Bring out your sneakers, sunglasses, and – probably – your umbrellas, and a change of socks. The weather is unfortunately unpredictable in July.. definitely count on some downpours. Forewarned is forearmed.
Meteorology notwithstanding, the music promises to be great, and both festivals will have chill areas and food courts with interesting options – also for vegetarians and even vegans! In fact, I was informed that Present Perfect will only have vegetarian food available, as a policy. Feel the future! Or get some shoarma before or after the event.
You can buy tickets online or directly at the gates, but in the latter case it’ll take you longer to get in.

SOME MORE TIPS:
Peak queue hours – even if you have tickets already – are right at the start, and between 1 and 3 AM.
You cannot bring your own alcohol or water – bags will be checked, just like everywhere else in the world.
Do not respond to dealers on site, they only mean trouble.
Don’t take taxis you didn’t call yourself.
Bring enough cash – card machines are not a guarantee. Drinks usually range from 200 to 500 rubles.

If in trouble, ask the people around you for help! People are generally super friendly and available, unlike the bouncers (there are exceptions but to be sure it’s best to avoid contact).

Gamma – 23-24 July

Sponsored by m_division, the same who brought us two highly successful editions of Nobel’ this past year, Gamma promises to be a multi-faceted, cutting-edge expo of art, music, and alternative culture in St. Petersburg. The line-up is infinite and showcases some of the bigger names in Russia and Western Europe. 4 stages, 30000 square meters of fun! Tickets and info here.

Present Perfect – 30 July

Another big “urban culture” event like Gamma, Present Perfect will be held at the Street Art Museum (shosse Revolutsii) – the biggest open air museum in Eastern Europe! For that reason, too, equip yourself for rain.. And get ready to experience all that’s happening in the cultural sphere of this great city! Special appearance: Boiler Room! More info here.

Have fun!
