If you’re an art enthusiast visiting Riga, you’re in for a real treat!

The city is home to an impressive range of museums, and in this article, I’ll take you through the six must-visit art museums in the city.

Each museum offers both permanent and temporary exhibitions, complemented by dynamic educational programs that elevate the overall experience. Many museums also feature dedicated sections where children can take part in fun, interactive workshops, while young people and adults can deepen their skills with art courses.

Additionally, each museum provides specialized lessons focused on its core themes: for example, at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, you can engage in workshops exploring the design process, while at the Riga Stock Exchange Museum, you can attend insightful lectures on decoding the language of art.
