Riga Fashion Week
10 April 2025

From April 7 to 10, the capital of Latvia became the epicenter of fashion as it hosted the highly anticipated Riga Fashion Week — one of the premier fashion events in the Baltics. This extraordinary gathering attracted industry leaders, trendsetters, and creatives from around the globe, united by a shared passion for fashion, art, and innovation. The event’s packed program featured dazzling runway shows from both celebrated Latvian and international designers, alongside thought-provoking lectures, immersive exhibitions, and collaborative projects that showcased the powerful fusion of fashion, art, and technology.

More than just a showcase of cutting-edge designs, the event offered a dynamic space for professional exchange, inspiration, and growth, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience in the heart of the fashion world.

I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Verens’ Fashion Show, and it was truly a memorable experience. Founded in 2015, Verens originally made its mark with high-quality home and indoor clothing for women, while also offering outsourcing services to European designers.

In 2023, the brand expanded to include designs for both men and women, with an unwavering focus on quality and comfort. Today, Verens is all about embracing sustainability, and an inclusive aesthetic, ensuring that every piece not only looks good but also feels right for everyone.

On the evening of April 9th, Verens unveiled its captivating winter collection,“Where Are You?” — a reflection on the serendipitous nature of love and connection. The collection explored the thought-provoking question: Why do we meet millions of people, yet fall in love with just one?

Is it pure coincidence? Of course not. Each encounter is guided by an unspoken set of criteria, and “Where Are You?” beautifully captures that essence through its thoughtfully crafted designs.

Faithful to Latvian traditions, the collection pays homage to the country’s rich cultural heritage, with intricate local lace woven throughout the pieces. Lace, a treasured element of Latvian craftsmanship, takes center stage in the show, adding both elegance and a deep connection to the country’s roots.

The collection also explores the trend of the cage motif, which is expected to dominate autumn 2025. This pattern is woven into sophisticated suits and corsets, beautifully contrasting with the delicate flow of stunning dresses and polished polos made of soft, fine wool. Silk corset bustiers and lightweight combination dresses are gracefully paired with the finest lace, creating a harmonious blend of strength and softness

The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing, filled with excitement and warmth. It was such a lovely and vibrant evening! There were plenty of photobooths scattered around, offering the perfect chance for my friends and me to capture the magic of the night.

We had so much fun snapping pictures, and it was great to have those memories printed on the spot, allowing us to take home a tangible reminder of such a special night.
