Riga’s Women’s Floorball Team Reach Finals

Kekava Women’s Floorball Team reached the finals of the Latvian Elite League for the first time in the history of the club last weekend!
Having continually finished third in the last few seasons, they triumphed over defending champions RSU and will now face Rubene for the final, to be played at Valmerias Olympic Centre.
The final is a best of seven game event, and so far Rubene has taken a two-game lead, but with games scheduled for this weekend and next, Kekava could become the 2013-14 champions!
If you didn’t know, Floorball is a type of hockey and is very popular in Latvia.
