An internship in Riga to discover the Baltics
Всем привет! My name is Elle, and I’m the newest intern joining the Liden & Denz team in Riga. Although it’s not my first time in the Baltics, I can’t wait to discover more of what they have to offer.
As an Italian undergraduate student soon to major in Russian-Italian translation, I can’t wait to share my passion for the Russian language and culture with all of you!
What led me to study the Russian language?
My journey with the Russian language began unexpectedly when I met a group of Russian girls while on vacation. They introduced me to Russian music and movies, taught me some basic phrases, and sparked a deep curiosity in me.
When I returned home, I dove into Russian culture on my own, and the more I explored, the more I fell in love with it. Driven by this growing passion, I decided to take matters into my own hands and started studying Russian independently.
In 2019, I decided to start a proper Russian course and I spent a month in Saint Petersburg to study at Liden & Denz, fully immersing myself in the language and culture.
Why Liden & Denz?
The reason I was so eager to apply for an internship at Liden & Denz is because I’ve experienced firsthand the excellence and validity of their programs.
My time at Liden & Denz in St. Petersburg remains one of my most magical and cherished experiences. Not only did I significantly improve my Russian, but I also formed lasting connections with wonderful people whom I’m still in touch with today.
Why Riga?
Last year I spent a semester at TLU (in Tallinn, Estonia) where I studied Russian Language and Literature.
It was my first time visiting the Baltics, and I instantly fell in love with the region.
I had the pleasure of visiting Riga twice, and both times, I found myself spellbound by its atmosphere.
My time in Riga sparked a burning desire to further explore this enchanting city and immerse myself into everything it has to offer. That’s why I’m thrilled to be joining the Liden & Denz team here.
